The Submoon is what you call a “funboard”. It’s not a longboard, not a shortboard, but something in between (7-8 feet long usually).
The tail on the Submoon is pretty wild. It’s quite narrow, which can make it easier to slow and stall the board in the pocket of a wave, by putting more weight on your back foot.
The tail is also extremely thin and rockered. This gives a distinct “lever” to push on. You’d probably feel that most in situations where you want to pivot quickly
The nose is kind of squashed, but it’s still narrower than a mini-mal.
This is another great board if you’re a beginner, trying to transition from a longboard to a shortboard. It can be hard making that leap, so surfing a board like this for a few month can really help the transition.
